How to Build a Car Mobile Phone Charger Circuit
Building a mobile phone charger circuit for your car is simpler than it sounds. With a couple of easily accessed materials, you can create a way to keep your mobile phone charged by yourself.
1. Purchase an AC inverter from an electronics store such as Wal-Mart or Radio Shack (around $20).
2. Plug this into your cigarette lighter socket or 12-volt power battery charger point in your vehicle. Plug your AC charger into this. Charge your cell phone as you drive.
3. Buy a 12-volt power point from any place that sells auto parts if you do not have either a cigarette lighter or 12-volt power point in your car. You can power it from the fuse box. Select a fuse that is “hot” when the ignition switch is on.
4. Find a hot fuse. Turn on the ignition switch and use a 12-volt test light to find a fuse that is hot only when the key is on. Ground one side of the test light, then using the fuses on the other end as a "probe," find the one you need.
